New IBP Isabela chapter officers elected

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) - Isabela chapter recently elected their new set of officers held on February 25, 2023 and took their oath of office on March 31, 2023.

The oath-taking was held at Hotel Sophia, Cauayan City with Vice Governor Faustino G. Dy III as administering officer.

Dy vowed the support of the Provincial Government to the organization just as it has provided in the previous set of officers.

He requested the IBP Isabela chapter officers and other Isabela lawyers to provide legal services to Isabelenos who are in dire need.

The elected IBP Isabela chapter officers were Atty. Lucky Damasen as President, Atty. Jonathan B. Valiente as Vice President; Atty. Ferdinand D. Olalia as Secretary; Atty. Doris R. Andres-Able as Treasurer; Atty. Lester June S. Luna as Auditor; and Atty Joram David D. Beltran as Public Relations Officer. 

In addition, the following were also elected and sworn in as members of the Board of Directors namely Atty. Virgo M. Gulan, Atty. Gil P. Viloria, Jr, Atty. Cherie Marie V. Laddaran, Atty. Kevin G. Villamor and Atty. Lyndon P. Duarte and Atty. John Ryan P. Torio as Ex-Officio Director.

The elected officers and Board of Directors will constitute the 26th Board of Officers of IBP Isabela and will serve two-year terms from 2023-2025. 

Damasen lauded the high turnout of lawyer-voters during the IBP election held on February 25, 2023.

“I commend the Lawyers voting in record numbers, both in person at IBP Building in Ilagan and online, as a manifestation of democracy in action,” Damasen said. 

Damasen commended the partnerships that were instrumental in the success of the IBP Northern Luzon Regional Convention, the ones that were forged between the local government units of Isabela, the IBP Regional and Chapter officers and lawyer-members.

He is that the partnerships will also be shown by his fellow lawyers will continue under his new leadership.

“The IBP-Isabela Chapter is looking forward in forging new partnerships and in expanding existing ones because we are aiming to do more. We intend to be an active force in educating our people about the law, in making it more accessible to them and in making justice not just a lofty ideal, but an achievable reality,” Damasen said.
