QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The search in on for the ‘Ginoo at Binibining Malabon 2023’ first citywide pageant to be staged in Malabon, according to the city's Public Information Office.
“Maging bahagi ng kasaysayan para sa pinaka unang Ginoo at Binibining Malabon ngayong taon. Ito na ang tamang oras para maipamalas ang inyong natatanging ganda, kisig, talino at talento! (Be a part of history for the first-ever Ginoo at Binibining Malabon this year. Now is the time for you to showcase your unique beauty, grace, wit, and talent!),” the city government said in a Facebook post.
The search is primarily centered on strengthening the tourism pillars of Malabon as a city characterized by its rich cultural identity and historical grandeur.
Pageant winners will be awarded with a P150,000 worth of service contract as Ambassador and Ambassadress of the City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office for one year.
Aside from the privilege to represent the city in its promotion of local tourism, the pageant winners will also take home a grand cash prize of P35,000 for the title holders, P30,000 for the 1st runner-up, P20,000 for the 2nd runner-up, and P5,000 worth of consolation prizes for the rest of the contenders.
Special awards likewise await the aspirants for their advocacy presentation (P10,000), talent (P10,000), formal and swim wear presentation (P10,000), athletic wear presentation (P5,000) photogenic beauty (P5,000), strong presence in multimedia (P5,000), and best ‘sagalahan’ arch (P5,000).
To join the competition, the applicants must be Filipino citizens and Malabon resident aged 18 to 25 years old, single, and at least 5’4 tall in height.
Meanwhile, candidates need to submit documentary requirements such as proof of residency or any identification card with address, photocopy of birth certificate, medical certificate issued by the barangay health center, and two (2) recent photographs in close-up and full body shot.
