Provincial Administrator Atty. Noel Manuel Lopez, representing Gov. Rodolfo Albano III during the organization strengthening activities for the Isabela Bamboo Industry Development Council held recently, said that the provincial government is continuously promoting the bamboo industry with the hope to boost the planting and processing of bamboo products into salable crafts.
Lopez said the PGI conducted recently the “One Million Bamboo Project” as a manifestation and commitment in pushing for environmental conservation and economic viability of the bamboo industry in Isabela.
Meanwhile, DTI Isabela Provincial Director Ma. Sofia Narag expressed her gratitude to the Provincial Government for its commitment in promoting the bamboo industry in the province.
Narag vowed the support of DTI Isabela in strengthening the Isabela Bamboo Industry Development Council through the conduct of capacity-building trainings to improve the bamboo industry in Isabela.
“The DTI will continue its support to the province’s bamboo industry development council by providing trainings to capacitate them with the necessary knowledge in bamboo industry development,” Narag said. (OTB/MGE / PIA Isabela)
