CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) this province recently handed over P1.62 million financial assistance to six Former Rebels and three Militia ng Bayan under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

DILG - Isabela Provincial Director Engr. Corazon Toribio, together with military officers, from the 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army handed the assistance held at the Capitol Amphitheater’s Blue Room on April 18, 2023 and witnessed by the PTF-ELCAC members.

Toribio said the government is sincere in its desire to end insurgency in the country and the package of benefits under the E-CLIP is given to former rebels who have surrendered and returned to the folds of law.

"This assistance is given to them to start their new life and also a way to encourage other rebels to surrender," Toribio said.

She said the E-CLIP benefits will continue to be availed by rebels who have decided to surrender.

The DILG Isabela official said that other government agencies also delivering their programs and services to the identified Communist Terrorist Group areas through the conduct of Serbisyo Caravans to show that the government’s programs and services will reach even to the remotest areas in the province.
