BONTOC, Mountain Province (PIA) -- Business owners and   micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from this capital town who were affected by a recent fire attended a   forum on Financing and Loan Facilitation last April 20.

The activity under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program and organized by the Department of Trade and Industry with the provincial government through the Provincial Small, Medium Enterprise Development Council, aims to help the fire-affected business owners to cope with the situation and to provide them an avenue where they can start again.

Speakers from the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Labor and Employment-Mountain Province, financial institutions and cooperatives discussed their respective agency’s financial programs and services.

The participants are also expected to match with the different requirements and qualifications of the financial institutions that can provide them assistance and services.

It can be recalled that the fire that broke out early morning of April 11   burned down 22 establishments and houses and partially damaged 10 others   in Loc-ong, Bontoc Ili. (JDP/VJLT-PIA Mt. Province)
