LAMUT, Ifugao (PIA)-- “Fur parents” in this municipality showcased their fur babies in the first-ever Dog Show Amusement Competition as part of the celebration of the 2023 Lamut Rambakan Festival.

Fur parents with their dogs of different   breeds like Belgian Malinois, Chow Chow, German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, Siberian Husky, and Shih Tzu, among others and including Asong Pinoy (Aspin), paraded along the town of Lamut last April 4.

The competition was divided into major and special categories focusing on the health status, grooming, behavior, physical appearance, performance, and outfit of the dogs.

The winners received ribbons, trophies, gift items, and cash prizes.

 The event was spearheaded by the office of the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Everda Desiree Dulinayan sponsored by Universal Robina Corporation - Top Breed and JCG Agri-Supply.

With this “Aso Mo, Irampa Mo” event, Lamut is geared towards a pet-friendly community

Councilor Jaime Bantiyan hopes that the fur parents with their pets will join the opening parade of the Rambakan fiesta next year. (JDP/FBR-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
