QUEZON CITY,(PIA)-- Calling all jobseekers in Metro Manila!
Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) announced the availability of over 8,000 vacancies in the coming Labor Day Jobs Fair at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City on April 30, 2023.
The DOLE will hold the job fair in line with the nation’s observance of the 121st Labor Day.
With a theme of “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot-Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho, para sa Manggagawang Pilipino,” the labor department will conduct the jobs fair along with the distribution and awarding of assistance packages and ‘KADIWA ng Pangulo para sa Manggagawa.’
At the moment, 125 local and 25 overseas employers confirmed their attendance at the job fair.
Some of the participating employers come from the key employment generators in Metro Manila, which are the IT-BPM, wholesale retail & trade, hotel & restaurant, construction, health & wellness, and transport & logistics.
With numerous options at hand, all jobseekers are given the luxury of choosing their desired job from a wide array of positions – from helpers, cashiers, kitchen crews, room attendants to customer service representatives, company nurses, and Human Resource officers.
Jobseekers are advised to bring copies of basic pre-employment requirements, especially resume.
A one-stop-shop service that will be participated by the following government agencies: SSS (advisory on social protection), Pag-Ibig (advisory on housing), PhilHealth (advisory on policies), PSA (birth and marriage certifciates), NBI (issuance of clearance), and BIR (TIN),will be established at the site to help applicants complete their requirements.
Meanwhile, DOLE-NCR will be also hosting the virtual component of the labor day job fair in partnership with JobQuest PH. Interested applicants may pre-register through their online portal at https://jobquest.ph.
