QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The city government of Pasay launched a digital contest on TikTok called ‘TurokTiktok’ in celebration of the 2023 National Immunization Week from April 24 to 28.
The program was initiated by the City Health Office (CHO) as part of its promotion of pediatric immunization and nutrition intervention in the first 1,000 days of a child’s life.
To join the ‘TurokTiktok’ contest, the participants must come up with a 30-second TikTok video content that centers on the essential role of completing the prescribed immunization featuring the mother and her Fully Immunized Child (FIC) aged 1 to 5 years old.
According to CHO, a child will only be considered as an FIC if he or she has already completed the 1st dose of BCG (Anti-Tuberculosis) vaccine, 3 doses of OPV (Anti-Polio Vaccine), 3 doses of PentaHib (Pentavalent Vaccine), and 2 doses of MCV (Anti-Meningococcal bacteria Vaccine) in his or her 12th month of life.
The local government mainly instructed the contestants to follow the official TikTok account of CHO and post their video entries tagging the @PasayCityHealthOffice with the hashtags #BatangBakunadoProtektado and #PasayTurokTikTok.
The grand winner of the TikTok contest will be receiving P3,000 worth of cash prize while the second prize is set to P2,000 and P1,000 for the third prize. 10 consolation prizes will also be awarded to the rest of the participants.
Deadline of submission is on Thursday, April 27, at 12 noon.
Meanwhile, last April 17, the city government also launched a search for ‘ROTurok Child’ to incentivize the residents who completed the vaccination of their children aged 23 months and below ー Right On Time.
