Angat Dam water level continues to drop

MANILA, (PIA) -- The water level in Angat Dam, the dam that supplies water to Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, continues to drop, due to the increasing warming of the country.

Based on the update of the PAGASA Hydrometeorology Division, yesterday at 6 o'clock in the morning the water level in Angat Dam dropped to 195.99 meters.

It was reduced by 33 centimeters compared to what was recorded on Sunday which was 196.32 meters although it is still higher than the minimum operating level of the dam which is 180 meters.

The water level at San Roque Dam also decreased slightly while there was no movement at Ipo and La Mesa Dam.

Meanwhile, the water level increased in Ambuklao, Binga, Pantabangan, Magat and Caliraya dam.

PAGASA continues to advise the public not to waste water. (PIA-NCR)
