The DTI, as one of the implementing agencies of the Price Act, is mandated to coordinate and rationalize government programs aimed at stabilizing prices and supplies of BNPCs.
According to DTI Provincial Director Arnel E. Hutalla, in the monitoring activity, they observe, check, and keep track of the goods, products, operations, or services of private businesses to ensure conformance to and compliance with existing DTI laws and regulations especially this time that the province is still facing the oil spill incident.
During monitoring, DTI Negosyo Center provided various store owners with Prize Freeze Bulletin, a guide that store owners will be updated on the situation in which process or the price of a particular product is fixed at a particular level and no increases are allowed.
