PNP entrance, promotional exams set

ILOILO CITY (PIA6) -- The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) will administer the Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance and promotional examinations nationwide on June 17 and 18.

The PNP entrance (PNPE) examination is open to all Filipino citizens 21 to 30 years old on the day of the examination and must have a bachelor’s degree.

Examinees who passed the PNPE examination are conferred with police eligibility required for appointment to the rank of Patrolman/Patrolwoman.

Meanwhile, the PNP Promotional Examinations (PromEx) are exclusive to all qualified uniformed personnel of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.

PNP Promotional Examination Title and Examination Rank Coverage (ERC) include: Police Officer 4th Class (Police Corporal to Police Staff Sergeant), Police Officer 3rd Class (Police Master Sergeant to Police Executive Master Sergeant), Police Officer 2nd Class (Police Lieutenant to Police Captain), and Police Officer 1st Class (Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel).

Examinees who passed the PromEx are conferred with the police eligibility required for promotion to the ranks corresponding to the examination’s Eligibility Rank Coverage (ERC).

Application schedule is set on May 8 to 18 and interested applicants must register online at https://napolcom-noris.org/ through the use of the NAPOLCOM Online Registration Information System (NORIS).

All examiners are only given 48 hours to pay the examination fee upon validation of his/her application.

The schedule of payment is set from May 8 to 20. (AAL/EJB/PIA6)
