MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA) -- The Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) is gearing up for the inauguration of some key infrastructure projects in the most affected area of Marawi as one of the highlights of the Marawi Week of Peace on May 17-23, 2023.
To be inaugurated are three school buildings with 20 classrooms each, the Raya Madaya II Barangay Hall Complex, and Network Operation Center Building and Digital Transformation Center.
The Bato Ali mosque, Marawi Peace Park, Rizal Park, and the restored Towak a Bata and Towak a Lapot are also set to be inaugurated on May 17.
Some 500 completed permanent shelters are likewise to be turned over to identified displaced families.
Launched in 2013 under the theme "Peace Starts With Us: Give, Work, and Share," the observance of Marawi Week of Peace aims to strengthen social cohesion between and among stakeholders through collaborative activities to deliver socio-economic support and promote spiritual development and continuous engagement.
Meanwhile, TFBM Field Office Manager Asec. Felix Castro Jr. said only 25 implementing agencies are still involved in the rehabilitation and the order to them is to finish their projects as soon as possible for inauguration. and turnover.
"Ang rehabilitation medyo nasa final stages na at yung mga [projects] natatapos ay iinaugurate na natin para maturn-over na rin at yung end user ay masimulan ng gamitin ang mga projects na ito," he said.
