QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- The DOST-NCR Food Festival, which celebrates the finest and most notable science and technology-infused local food products in Metro Manila, is returning for its second year from May 26 – 28 at the Eastwood Central Plaza, Quezon City.
This year's food fiesta is anchored on the theme "Kain Tayo sa Science Food Festival: Exploring the Science of Pinoy Food in the Metro," and is being held in partnership with Megaworld Corp. and its campaign "Tara, Pasyal Na!" which highlights local tourist spots, fashion, culture, arts and crafts, and food.
The three-day fiesta is filled with flavorful activities, such as food selling, food-making competitions, technical forums about food techniques and technologies, food expert's clinic sessions, and a day with a food vlogger.
The festival also offers an authentic, joyful food experience, with an array of popular and delicious Pinoy foods such as Balut, Putong Polo, Lechon, Suman, Kutsinta, Pastil, Tsokolate Batirol, and more being showcased.
This year's event is focused on the science behind these local food products and aims to unveil interesting facts about how science works behind the scenes to create these delectable products that we enjoy each day.
New and former merchant-partners, including micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) beneficiaries of the DOST-NCR flagship programs Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP), Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST), and Innovations for Filipinos Working Distantly from the Philippines (iFWD PH) Program, will lead the fiesta booths and definitely satisfy everyone’s local food cravings.
The event is open to all food enthusiasts and the general public. Everyone is invited to kickstart the summer right by visiting the DOST-NCR's Food Festival. Savor and explore the science behind the many facets of our favorite foods together! (DOST-NCR / PIA-NCR)
