CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - In a goal to prepare the products of the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the upcoming international exhibits, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) recently conducted product and firm assessments of prospective exhibitors.
Based on the press release published by DTI Quirino, the activity is a follow-through of the AMBIENTE Benchmarking and Intelligence Missions conducted in Germany early this year, where the PLGU is one of the participants.
Also, the activity aims to strengthen the MSMEs' plans to penetrate more opportunities and gain market exposure in the global market, specifically in the 2024 AMBIENTE fair and this year's Manila FAME.
The team led by Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo commenced the two-day assessment activity by visiting four pre-identified MSMEs from the municipalities of Saguday, Cabarroguis, and Diffun.
Director Ocampo provided inputs to further enhance the products of the visited firms and conducted a comprehensive analysis of the various aspects of a product, such as design, packaging, and pricing.
She further encouraged them to undergo advanced training on finishing techniques and participate in intensive product development to enhance product quality and designs that are responsive to market preferences.
On the second day of the product assessment, the DTI visited seven pre-identified MSMEs in the municipalities of Nagtipunan, Maddela, and Diffun.
There, RD Ocampo reiterated her motivation to the MSMEs to further enhance their products by integrating the different trends without sacrificing their unique identities to meet the demands of the global market and ultimately increase their sales and revenue by participating in international fairs such as the 2023 Manila FAME and 2024 Ambiente Fair in Germany.
The DTI said the assessment was a significant step toward promoting the growth and success of Quirino’s MSMEs.
“By identifying their strengths and areas for improvement, DTI R2 and PGO Quirino can provide the necessary support to help these companies reach their full potential and thrive in the international marketplace,” she further stated. (OTB/TCB/PIA Quirino)
