DOH-CAR delivers HFEP equipment to Apayao health facilities

BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- Healthcare services in the province of Apayao are expected to be strengthened with
additional support under the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP) of the   Department of Health.   
Gerry Almacen and Hermie Andaya of DOH- Cordillera Administrative Region    together with the team from the Provincial DOH Office- Apayao headed by Development Management Officer Rey Sagandoy led the delivery and turnover of medical supplies, diagnostic tools, devices and equipment to the different rural health units (RHU) and district hospitals.   

Recipients include the RHUs in Pudtol, Santa Marcela, Flora, Conner, and Kabugao, the Conner District Hospital, Sta. Marcela District Hospital, Flora District Hospital and the Amma Jadsac District Hospital in Pudtol.

“The completion of the HFEP equipment turnover in Apayao demonstrates the government's dedication to ensuring accessible and quality healthcare services for all, regardless of their geographic location,” DOH-CAR said in a statement. 

The successful delivery and turnover of the HFEP equipment is expected to contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare services in the province, it added.

HFEP aims to improve the accessibility of basic health services to more Filipinos and increase the capability and capacity of government hospitals in providing essential and specialized health services. (JDP/RMC- PIA-CAR) (PDOHO-Apayao photos)
