MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Department of Education (DepEd) is pleased to see the Integrated School Project gradually come to fruition.
This, after the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned over three completed school buildings, May 17, in line with this year's Marawi Week of Peace celebration.
The said infrastructure is part of the 10 school buildings that are to be constructed for the Integrated School Project under the Bangon Marawi Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Program. One building was completed last year, while the remaining six are in different stages of construction.
City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto said the project, once completed, will be the first-ever integrated school in Marawi.
With that, she thanked DPWH, the Task Force Bangon Marawi, the local government unit of Marawi, and all those responsible for the realization of the project.
Lawyer Christian Rivero of the DepEd National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service Office said DepEd is happy with the construction, workmanship, and design of the completed buildings.
He also stated that the completion of the three school buildings is not only a testament to the partnership of the agencies involved but also proof of their tenacity and passion to rebuild Marawi better and continue education.
Meanwhile, Alonto assured their partner agencies that the City Schools Division of Marawi will continue the delivery of quality education in the new school once it is operational. (APB/PIA-10 Lanao del Sur)
