TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in cooperation with Ka-Sambayanihan volunteers of National Anti-Poverty Commission, held a training on starting up a business and buko pie and roll making in Capas, Tarlac.
This is part of the assistance the agency provides through its Negosyo Centers present in all municipalities of the province.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay said it aims to educate the beneficiaries on the importance of doing business and how to go about it.
“We hope that we have inspired the participants to go into business and apply what they have learned in this activity. The skills that they have gained, if put into practice and turned into livelihood, will be of help in alleviating their lives,” she said.
Discussion revolved on starting a business, basics of entrepreneurship, business opportunities, process of registering a business, and services offered by Negosyo Centers.
Also, demonstration and skills training on the process of making buko pie and buko roll.
Negosyo Center Capas vowed to support the beneficiaries in venturing into business with its various programs and projects for entrepreneurs. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
