CEBU CITY, Cebu, May 17 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry 7 (DTI7) along with the Department of Information and Communication Technology 7 (DICT-7) and the Department of Science and Technology 7 (DOST7) and other key partners from the private sector are set to gather the startup community in Central Visayas for the 2023 FIESTARTUP that will take place in November as part of the annual Philippine Startup Week.

This is an annual event that brings together startups, investors, government agencies, academics, software developers, and other startup enablers and aims to promote the growth, investment, and expansion opportunities for tech startups in the Visayas-Mindanao market and to increase awareness of Cebu's startup ecosystem.

The said event also intends to help startups become more dynamic by expanding connections between them, their stakeholders, customers, and investors.

The activity will also integrate the business component, research and development, and information technology to build a stronger startup ecosystem in the region.

Around 80 startup participants in Central Visayas are expected to join the 2023 Fiestartup during the Philippine Start-Up Week.

Meanwhile, the DTI7 is urging all startups in Region 7 to join the upcoming startup gathering, as it is a great opportunity for them to showcase and market their product offerings to potential investors and customers. (RGC/PIA7 Cebu)
