DSWD grants Kalinga’s ‘Bahay Pag-asa’ level 2 accreditation

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga(PIA) - - This province’s “Bahay Pag-asa” was accredited level 2 by the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) Standards Bureau.

 A Certificate of Accreditation was granted to  the facility for  its satisfactory compliance with the Second Level standard requirements. It is  a testament to the fulfillment of prescribed requirements for the facilities of SWD programs and services.
 
Level 2 Accreditation aligns with the implementation of Center-based Residential Programs and Services for Children in Conflict with the Law.

By attaining Level 2 Accreditation, Kalinga's "Bahay Pag-asa" has demonstrated its dedication in delivering comprehensive and effective services to children in conflict with the law. The accreditation affirms the facility's adherence to the highest standards of care, making a significant contribution to the overall welfare and development of the children it serves, according to the  Provincial Information Office (PIO).

Scoring an impressive 122 out of 135 points, Kalinga province is now among the three provinces in the Cordillera Administrative Region with a level II accreditation providing exceptional care and support to is clientele, the PIO said.

Beyond serving as a support center, Bahay Pag-asa also offers intensive juvenile intervention programs focused on counseling and rehabilitation. The "house of hope"  is  categorized as social welfare development programs  specifically classified as center-based residential programs. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
