QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The Philippine Postal Corporation (PhlPost) remains operational following the fire incident that gutted the historic Manila Central Post Office (MCPO).
In an advisory, PhlPost said that MCPO operations will be temporarily housed at the Surface Mall Exchange in Delpan Port Area, Manila starting today, May 23 for mail and parcel transactions.
“PhlPost would like to emphasize that we are committed to maintaining regular operations and effectively delivering to the public,” the statement read.
PhlPost added that only the mails intended for the City of Manila were affected by the fire.
The public can also visit the post offices in Manila and various parts of Metro Manila to send mail and package.
According to the Manila Fire Department, the fire that broke Sunday evening reached general alarm status. (PHLPOST/PIA-NCR)
