DAVAO CITY (PIA) – The Regional Development Council XI formally launched the Davao Regional Development Plan 2023–2028, May 23, at the Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao here.
RDC chairperson and Davao Oriental Gov. Corazon Malanyaon led the launching program, which was graced by Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Undersecretary for Service Continuity Mark Cristeo Gimenez, Secretary Ma. Belen Acosta of the Mindanao Development Authority, national government agencies and local government officials, as well as private sector representatives, among others.
Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan of the National Economic and Development Authority was the keynote speaker during the event, who addressed the attendees virtually.
The Davao Regional Development Plan 2023–2028 serves as the region’s overall blueprint in development planning for the next six years, geared towards a long-term vision, pursuing the region’s sustained recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and transforming it into a more progressive, broad-based, and strong Davao Region.
