5th Super Health Center in Davao de Oro to rise in Maco town

DAVAO DE ORO (PIA) -- Senator Christopher Lawrence Go led the groundbreaking ceremony of a Super Health Center in Maco, with Davao de Oro Governor Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga, Maco Mayor Arthur Carlos Voltaire Rimando, and Vice Mayor Alvera Veronica Rimando.

The Super Health Center in Maco is the fifth of its kind in the province. The other centers that are being constructed in Davao de Oro are in the municipalities of Mawab, Nabunturan, Montevista, and Compostela.

“Naay walo ka itukod na Super Health Center dinhi sa probinsiya sa Davao de Oro ug sobra 700 ang itukod sa tibuok Pilipinas,” Senator Go disclosed. (There are eight Super Health Centers that will be built in the province of Davao de Oro, and more than 700 to be built in the entire Philippines.)

According to the senator, the P11.5-million worth Super Health Center is a medium-type of polyclinic that offers medical emergency, dental, birthing and laboratory services.

As part of his visit in Maco, Sen. Go also facilitated the distribution of financial assistance to the vulnerable sector of the town.

Around 1,000 senior citizens, persons with disabilities, solo parents, and marginalized workers received PhP 3,000 each from the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). (MLU/PIA Davao de Oro/ Photos from LGU Maco)
