DAVAO DEL NORTE (PIA) -- The Information Officers Network (ION) Davao del Norte has continuously provided learning and development (L&D), and training sessions for its members and officers.

This initiative has been running for four consecutive months already.

In May 2023, ION Davao del  Norte tackled the topic “Development Communication on the 4th Industrial Revolution (DevCom on FIRe),” with  University of Southeastern Philippines Faculty Federation (USePFFed) president Dr. Rec Eguia as resource speaker.

ION Davao del Norte that was hosted in May 2023  by the Municipal Government of New Corella through its Municipal Information Office (MIO) under Royet Maligro.

The  DevCom on FIRe discussion was sponsored by  the Provincial Information Communication and Knowledge Management Office (PICKMO).

Meanwhile, ION Davao del Norte took its members and officers to Island Garden City of Samal in  the month of April to hold its regular meeting and conduct a training on Basic Videography with speakers and practitioners of PTV DavNor 48.

The City Government of Samal through its Samal Information Office headed by Michael Homez hosted the overnight stay ION Davao del Norte at Florenda Beach Resort where it held its meeting and training.

In February 2023,  the Panabo City Government hosted the ION regular meeting, through its CIO under Michael Angelo Reseuno, who prioritized Communication Planning as the L&D session. The ION meeting in Panabo City  was co-hosted by Agriya of Damosa Land.

The series of L&D and training sessions of the ION Davao del Norte was institutionalized through a Resolution  that  the ION Davao del Norte passed during its first meeting in year 2023, as a way of equipping its officers and members with knowledge and skills necessary for them to  carry out the functions expected of them as development communicators.
