ODIONGAN, Romblon (PIA) -- The much-anticipated Mimaropa Regional Athletic Association (RAA) Meet, held from May 23 to 26, in Romblon, Romblon concluded with Palawan emerged as the overall champion in the secondary level, while Oriental Mindoro dominated the elementary level.
In the Secondary Division, Palawan secured the first-place position with an impressive haul of 28 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and 22 bronze medals. Not far behind, Oriental Mindoro secured the second spot in the secondary level with 21 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and 26 bronze medals.
Taking the third spot in the Secondary Division was Puerto Princesa City, accumulating a respectable total of 14 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals.
On the other end of the spectrum, Romblon secured the second-to-last place in the secondary level. Despite their valiant efforts, Romblon's athletes clinched 3 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals.
In the Elementary Division, Oriental Mindoro emerged as the champion, dominating the competition with 23 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals.
Palawan secured the second position in the Elementary Level, demonstrating their athletic prowess with 10 gold medals, 17 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals.
Meanwhile, Puerto Princesa City secured third in the Elementary Division, earning 6 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.
