1,000 learners benefit from OVP school bags project

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 1,000  learners in five schools in the four Northern Isabela towns have benefitted from the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) schools bags distribution project.

OVP Isabela Satellite Office Head Maria Laiza Frogoso - Pamittan said the school bags distribution was simultaneously conducted on May 27, 2023 by the Office of the Vice President Satellite Offices in the country located in Isabela, Davao, Zambaona, Surigao. Tacloban, Bacolod, Cebu, Dagupan, Region V and BARRMM including the extension offices in Batangas and Tondo, Manila.

Pamittan said the school bags distribution to learners is implemented through the OVP’s PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Campaign.

She said among the schools that benefitted from the school bags distribution were Cabagan Central Scool, San Pablo Central School, Tumauini North Central School, Tumauini South Central School and Sto. Tomas Central School respectively.

Pamittan said the school bags contained school supplies and dental kits aimed at promoting the value of basic education and the importance of oral health to school children.
