DAGUPAN CITY (PIA) – The Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) is encouraging all members in Ilocos Region, who have financial needs, to avail of the agency’s multi-purpose loan (MPL) program.
Aileen Calpotura, supervising member service officer of Pag-IBIG Fund-Urdaneta City Branch, said members with 24-month contributions to their regular savings may avail of the MPL to aid any immediate financial need.
Calpotura said the agency has at least P2.2 billion approved funds for the MPL program that is ready for release to its borrowing members in the region.
“For Pag-IBIG Fund-Urdaneta City Branch, which caters to the members from fifth to sixth congressional districts of Pangasinan, we have P255.6 million na naka-allot para sa ating mga multi-purpose loan borrowers,” she added.
She said members can borrow up to 80 percent of their total Pag-IBIG regular savings with extended payment terms of up to three years.
“Pwede silang makapag-avail ng cash loan kay Pag-IBIG at mapakinabangan po nila ang kanilang savings habang naghihintay ng maturity ng kanilang hulog na maaari nilang magamit sa kanilang pangangailangan,”Calpotura said.
Calpotura said the proceeds can then be used to pay for tuition fees, medical expenses, or as capital for small businesses, among others.
“Sa MPL po natin, may two months grace period tayo. Once na ma-approved 'yong loan natin ay hindi po tayo agad-agad mag a-amortize,” she said.
Calpotura said interested members may apply for loans through their virtual Pag-IBIG or file their application at the nearest Pag-IBIG branch in their area.
She added that Pag-IBIG offices located in malls in the province are also open on Saturdays to cater to members working on weekdays.
Calpotura said for any inquiries about loan programs, members under Pag-IBIG Fund-Urdaneta City Branch may contact their office at mobile number 0946-588-8515 or send an email to urdaneta_med@pagibigfund.gov.ph. (JCR/MJTAB/EMSA PIA Pangasinan)
