ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--More than 100 families living in Sitio Upper Paitan, Barangay Dalipuga here benefitted from the community outreach program organized by the City Police Office (CPO) and the Rotary Club of Iligan Maria Cristina.
The residents received knapsack sprayers, weighing scales, pales, sports equipment, and even goats for their livelihood. There was also the distribution of slippers, seedlings, food packs, free circumcision and haircuts, and medical and dental check-ups.
Sheryl Espitoño, a resident of Sitio Paitan, shared her appreciation for the food packs and other services provided through the government's outreach program. She expressed how the generous distribution has significantly helped her family save on their food expenses.
"Nalipay mi kay naka-avail mi ani nga mga higayuna, mga panghatag sa gobyerno ba. Dako jud siya nga tabang kay masave ang pila ka adlaw namong pagkaon," she said.
(We are happy because we were able to avail ourselves of these gifts given by the government. This is very helpful in saving our food for several days)
Meanwhile, PCol Elias D. Hampac, chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division-10, acknowledged the significant government support received by Barangay Dalipuga. He emphasized that, as dedicated government employees, their commitment extends to providing high-quality assistance to other barangays through similar outreach programs.
"Kini nga barangay isa sa napili sa atong kapulisan, gipangulohan sa atong city director nga kini mahatagan og programa. Kining PNP outreach program nga diin gipaahom usab kini siya sa Executive No. 70 kon ang National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict," he said.

Meanwhile, Lorry Gabule of the Rotary Club of Iligan Maria Cristina, emphasized the club's mission to serve those in need, reflecting their core principle of service above self.
"Nalipay kay mi to give service kay ang among motto is service above self. Usahay gikan gyud sa among bulsa ang among paghatag. Kinasing-kasing gyud na siya nga pagkuha namo'g gamay'ng ikahatag sa pagpalit sa mga kinahanglanon," she said.
