BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Philippine National Police (PNP) has reported zero incidents during the celebration of the province’s 2023 Grand Ammungan Festival in this town.

Police Colonel Kamlon Nasdoman, PNP provincial director, said that the achievement can be attributed to the cooperation and police visibility of Novo Vizcayanos and the police force in the province.

“Before the week-long celebration of the Grand Ammungan Festival, we have already coordinated and collaborated with barangay officials and other partners in the civil society to ensure the implementation of our security plan for this annual event,” he said.

Nasdoman also said that the security package directly involved the services of the PNP’s Special Action Force (SAF) and the Provincial Explosives and Canine Unit (PECU) to ensure the safety and security of Novo Vizcayanos from the threat of Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs).

He stated further that 100 policemen joined the PNP force deployed in Bayombong town alone, with augmentation efforts of its force multipliers.

“We are grateful for the support of our villagers and our force multipliers. It resulted into a peaceful and worry-free celebration of our 2023 Grand ‘Ammungan’ Festival in the province,” Nasdoman added. (BME/PIA NVizcaya)
