PRO-2 official makes sentimental visit in Benito Soliven PS

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - Police Regional Office - 2 (PRO-2) Regional Director B/Gen. Percival Rumbaoa made a sentimental journey as he visited the Benito Soliven Police Station where he was assigned during his early years as junior police officer.

Rumbaoa reminisced during his visit to Benito Soliven on June 6, 2023 that during his assignment in the town as police officer, the police station building was not as developed compared today.

Director Rumbaoa was once assigned in the town in the year 1992 up to 1994 as a police officer.

He also thanked the LGU officials and the people of Benito Soliven for always supporting the Philippine National Police in its task in maintaining peace and order of the town.

Rumbaoa said that his trip to Benito Soliven, before becoming as senior police official of the PNP, was part of his achievements in his years of police service, which made put him in his present position as PRO-2 Director today.

His visit was also done as part of his early retirement from police service which will be by August this year.

Rumbaoa was joined by Isabela Police Provincial Office Acting Provincial Director Col. Julio Go and his command staff, who were  welcomed by Benito Soliven Police Station Chief Maj. Rufo A. Figarola Jr and town mayor Robert Lungan.

Rumbaoa also led the ground-breaking of the 4th and 5th Libreng Pabahay Project of the Benito Soliven Police Station which will again benefit indigent families in the town.

Meanwhile, Benito Soliven Police Station Chief of Police Maj. Rufo Figarola said the Libreng Pabahay Projects in the town were constructed and awarded to identified indigent families with the help of LGU officials of the town under the leadership of Mayor Roberto Lungan Jr and other stakeholders from the town.

“We expressed our sincerest gratitude to the officials and stakeholders from the town of Benito Soliven for their help in the construction of houses under the Libreng Pabahay Project of the PNP,” Figarola said.

He also thanked the PRO-2 and the Isabela Police Provincial Office for the assistance extended in the realization of its Libreng Pabahay Project. (MDCT/JCK/MGE/PIA Isabela)
