QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- The City Government of Las Piñas warns the public against the unauthorized sale of Friendship Route stickers after they discovered the unsanctioned circulation of these on popular online platforms, including Lazada and Facebook Marketplace.

The City Government said the Friendship Route stickers are available for free exclusively through the City's official page.

City officials have emphasized that the reselling of these stickers is illegal and those found engaging in such activities may face severe penalties, including jail time.

The Friendship Route stickers were created for Las Piñas City for the use of alternative routes to ease and decongest traffic along the main thoroughfares in the city.

However, the recent unauthorized circulation and sale of these stickers have raised concerns among city officials.

The City of Las Piñas is now working diligently to identify the individuals involved in the unauthorized sale of the stickers.

Law enforcement agencies are actively monitoring online platforms and conducting investigations to apprehend those responsible. Once caught, the individuals may face legal consequences, which could include imprisonment.

In addition, the City Government is urging citizens to report any suspicious or unauthorized sales of the stickers to the proper authorities.

“We assure the public that appropriate actions are being taken to address this issue promptly and effectively,” a statement from the City Government said. (lp pio/pia-ncr)
