MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The newly completed Marawi City Health Unit (CHU) will showcase the dedication of the city government and Marawi leaders to serve the constituents of the city better.
This was emphasized by Health Undersecretary Dr. Abdullah Dumama Jr. during the inauguration of the CHU, June 7.
Dumama said there were many challenges encountered during the implementation of the project, including human-induced and natural disasters, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.
But such challenges, he said, did not stop them and all those involved in the project from stepping up their efforts to fast-track the completion of the facility.
Dumama further underscored that the people of Marawi deserved the city health unit. He also expressed optimism that the facility could serve their healthcare needs.
Meanwhile, city mayor Majul Gandamra thanked the Asian Development Bank for the health facility and other projects it implemented in the city.
He said the city health unit is an addition to the various facilities that provide health services to his constituents.
"We thank you for this new facility, and rest assured that we will do our best that this will be maintained and used for its intended purpose," he said. (APB/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
