Key representatives from the Bureau of Treasury, Department of Finance, Department of National Defense, Presidential Legislative Liaison Office, and Presidential Assistant to the Senate deliberated the AFP’s position on the reform of the MUP pension structure which will eventually become unsustainable because of the rising unfunded liabilities of the current system.
The Army personnel also participated during the exchange of talks and recommended certain actions for the modification of the pension scheme.
Moreover, Lt. Gen. Brawner conveyed his active cooperation to provide a concrete and collective official stance regarding the proposed revisions of the MUP.
Participants of the information drive were composed of the Philippine Army Major Unit Commanders, PA Command Group, General Staff, Personal Staff, Special Staff, Technical Staff, Functional Commands, Specialty Enablers, and PA-Wide Support and Separate Units who attended the event physically and via video-teleconferencing.
