QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The Quezon City government urged its residents anew to get their QCitizen Card in light of the nearing implementation of the ‘Pangkabuhayang QC Phase III.’
Pangkabuhayang QC is among the livelihood and financial assistance programs that can be availed by QCitizen ID holders apart from the other social service initiatives of the city including scholarship programs and healthcare assistance.
It primarily caters to residents who identify as micro-entrepreneurs and vendors with a business capitalization below P250,000, laid-off Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), unemployed solo parents, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and those employees that were displaced during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To avail of the benefits under the QC Pangkabuhayang program, one must present his QCitizen ID as a valid proof of being a bonafide resident of the City.
To apply for the unified identification system of the local government or the QCitizen ID, residents must have a QC E-Services account (www.qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph) where they can access the QCitizen ID E-application and upload the necessary documentary requirements.
To date, more than 25,000 micro-entrepreneurs were able to receive financial assistance amounting to P10,000 to P20,000 during phases 1 and 2 of the Pangkabuhayang QC program from 2021 to 2022 through the Small Business and Cooperatives Development Promotions Office (SBCDPO) of the city.
