CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) – The city government has partnered with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) Cordillera regional office to fast track its bid towards digital transformation.
DICT-CAR Regional Director Pinky Jimenez offered tie-up with Tabuk ICT council in the establishment of the IT Business Processing Management industry (IT-BPM) here.
Jimenez, during the city ICT council meeting, underscored the role of local ICT councils to enhance government network and establishing partnership with educational institutions for training and job opportunities.
Jimenez explained that digital transformation is included in the marching order of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr to be adopted in government operations and system. She elaborated on DICT's efforts to improving connectivity in the countryside
The move would open the digital highway for ICT jobs throughout the country especially to communities like Tabuk City, she said.
The meeting of DICT-CAR with the Tabuk ICT council is part of the city’s preparation in becoming a smart city. (LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
