QUEZON CITY, (PIA) – The Caloocan City government on Monday, June 19, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Scheirman Construction Consolidated Incorporated to embark on a local housing project under the ‘Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) program.’
The said housing project will be rolled out in Bankers Village and Deparo area in Caloocan with a total of 24 buildings for around 12,064 families.
In particular, the completion of this in-city resettlement program is projected to address the housing needs of more than 20% residents, especially those who are rendering public services at a local level including teachers, police officers, and city government workers.
The roll out of the National Housing program here in Caloocan is one of the projects that I look forward to. This time, we will give priority to residents who have rendered services in Caloocan. In this project, they are the ones who will have the opportunity to own a proper and decent home) ,” said City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan.
Meanwhile, Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) congratulated the local government for making a headway towards the establishment of housing security in the city as he reiterated the commitment of the national government to bridge the 6.5 million housing gap in the country under the Marcos administration.
This marks the continuous roll out of the National Housing program. Congratulations to Caloocan City, especially to the beneficiaries now that their dream of having a safe, decent, and affordable housing for their family is now within reach)," said the housing czar in a video message.
