Pag-ibig Fund promotes Pambansang Pabahay program among delivery riders

DAVAO CITY (PIA) - - The Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-ibig Fund has urged delivery riders in the region to register with Pag-ibig Fund and avail of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

The HDMF has promoted President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s flagship housing program among the delivery riders in the recently-held 4PH program launching in Davao City where more than 400 registered members of the Grab and Food Panda delivery companies have attended.

Both delivery firms are members of the Transport Vehicle Network Service (TNVS).

The 4PH program aims to serve the housing need of the Filipino families by building 1,000,000 housing units every year until year 2028 under the Marcos administration.

"Kami sa Pag-ibig ay binuo para bigyan kayo nang dalawang napakahalagang benepisyo. Una, para matulungan ang mga manggagawang Pilipino na makaipon. Pangalawa, para magkaroon ng bahay ang mga manggagawang Pilipino,” said Pag-ibig Fund Senior Vice-President lawyer Antoniette Diaz.

Diaz emphasized that the program is made more efficient, more secured and more affordable for the self-employed employees.

“Kasama kayo sa miyembro na maka benepisyo sa aming serbisyo," she stressed.

Along with the 4PH program launching in Davao City was the launching of Pag-ibig Asenso Rider Promo where the delivery riders were given a chance to win in the raffle draw which gave away three helmets, five mobile phones, 1,000 fuel vouchers, and cash amounting to P20,000.

The attendees also joined grand raffle draws where 10 motorcycle units will be given away within the months of July to November this year.

Delivery rider Lheniefer Dumo was thankful for the opportunity for them to secure their own house through the new affordable housing loan program for the self-employed employees.

"Mapa salamaton kaayo ko tungod kay kami mga riders gi priority sa programa,” Dumo said.

Regional Director Randolf C. Pensoy of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI has lauded the hard work of the delivery riders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This event showcases our commitment to honoring the hard work and dedication of our delivery riders and other self-employed workers. You’ve become heroes during the pandemic,” Pensoy said.

Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte has also shown his solidarity and support through his message read by City Councilor Myrna Dalodo Ortiz during the launching.

“We commend the Pag-ibig fund for this initiative, reinforcing our advocacy and encouraging more delivery riders to become members of this program,” the Mayor stressed. (JSS/REC, Interns/PIA-XI)
