NAGA CITY (PIA) – The Philippine Health Insurance Inc. (PhilHealth) will now closely serve the 120,000 residents from the municipality of Libmanan as well as its neighboring towns in the second district of Camarines Sur province, following the opening of its new service desk at the Libmanan municipal hall, today, June 20, Tuesday.
The said district is composed of the following municipalities: Gainza, Milaor, Minalabac, Pamplona, Pasacao and San Fernando.
Libamanan Mayor Jesus Camara led the inauguration of the additional PhilHealth desk in the province, and the signing of the memorandum of agreement between the local government unit and the said health insurance.
PhilHealth Regional Vice-President in Bicol Henry Almanon aims to have an improved member access to their frontline services and increase the registration rate of membership in the said municipality.
Currently, Libmanan has only covered 78 percent of its residents as PhilHealth members.
As extension office of the PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office in Camarines Sur, the office in Libmanan will provide the release of PhilHealth Identification Number and updating of the data records of the members.
The service desk is open from Mondays to Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the second floor of the LGU. Online services will also be available every Wednesday, starting June 21.
The said service desk is the 21st satellite area of PhilHealth in this region, including Malasakit Centers in Department of Health retained hospitals. (PIA5/Camarines Sur)
