VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) - A three-day mini-fair to showcase metal crafts and iron works products in Bato town formally opened yesterday, June 21, Wednesday at Bato Riverpark.
The activity sponsored by Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Catanduanes and the municipal government of Bato is open until June 23, Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to DTI Provincial Director Maria Belma Q. Escueta, the event aims to highlight the dominant industries in the municipality of Bato by featuring metal crafts, iron works, coco products, wearables, housewares, including food products made by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the said municipality.
Present during the opening and ribbon cutting were Mayor Juan T. Rodulfo; PD Escueta, officials of LGU Bato, and DTI Catanduanes personnel.

Meanwhile, DTI Catanduanes thru their Negosyo Center in Virac, conducted a seminar on Good Manufacturing Practices which aims to provide knowledge regarding (1) basics of GMP; (2)GMP guidelines; and (3) GMP Organizational chart on June 16 at DTI Catanduanes Provincial Office.
The face-to-face seminar was participated by food processors and food makers from Virac town. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
