CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA) -- Acknowledging the pivotal role of the public in attaining the targets outlined in the Northern Mindanao Regional Development Plan (RDP) 2023-2028, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and the Regional Development Council (RDC) X urged stakeholders in the region to support the implementation of the plan.
The RDC-X launched the Northern Mindanao RDP 2023-2028, Wednesday, June 21, to unveil the development priorities of the region towards its transformation into a leading agricultural hub, international gateway, and major industrial, tourism and trade center in the country.
"I enjoined everyone, the regional line agencies, local government units, the private sector, civil society organizations, and other development partners to take part in transforming the plan into reality," said RDC-X chairperson and Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo.
For NEDA, Regional Development Group Usec. Carlos Bernardo Abad Santos pointed out that the completion of RDP marks the start of translating the identified strategies into tangible action and subjecting them to continuous evaluation.
'We rely on the active participation and collaboration of each and every one to bring this plan to life," he added.
NEDA-X regional director Mylah Faye Aurora Cariño affirmed this adding that transforming the plan into reality lies in everyone's sustained and strengthened cooperation, collaboration, and complementation of efforts.
To further cement everyone's support in the implementation and monitoring of the plan, Cariño said RDC-X will conduct a series of roadshows in the coming months in all provinces and highly urbanized cities in the region to present the plan and the region's priorities. (APB/PIA-10)
