“Nag-launch tayo ng information board para sa mga turista na kahit wala silang tour guide, they can have all the information that they need about Laoag City. In this board, tourists can read about the brief introduction and history of the city, and our city map highlighting the different tourist attractions in the city and a description of each of them,” Lao said.
She also explained that the map features a Quick-Response (QR) code for each tourist spot listed on the map which will redirect the scanner to a Google map site of the location of the attraction.
Lao added that a QR code is also present to redirect the scanner to a list of DOT-accredited hotels, restaurants, tour guides, travel agencies, and tour operators in the city.
Meanwhile, the Tourism Information and Assistance Center will operate from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“Finally, the city has a tourism board that is user-friendly to all the touristswho will come to the city,” the tourism officer said.
