11 MSMEs win awards at 2023 Regional Productivity Olympics

TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- A total of 11 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Luzon bagged awards at the 2023 Regional Productivity Olympics.

Awardees include Bagong Barrio Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Amanda’s Marine Products, Clark Electric Distribution Corporation, One Subic Power Generation, Sto. Niño de Parada MC, Bleue R Enterprises, Don Bosco Technical Institute of Tarlac, Beeanzon Convenience Store, Zoobic Safari, Kumon Tarlac, and Nutriline Inc.

Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) Chairperson and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Director Geraldine Panlilio praised the dedication of the awardees, noting that they greatly contribute to the economic growth of Central Luzon.

“The accomplishments of these enterprises exemplify the entrepreneurial drive and determination that propel Central Luzon’s economy towards progress. We hope that you further develop your micro to small and eventually transition into medium enterprises, and that’s what we wish when espousing the productivity initiatives of workers and enterprises,” she stated.

Panlilio likewise extended support to the future endeavors and further improvement of the MSMEs.

“Your success as MSMEs reflect the region’s potential for development and growth. We remain steadfast in our support for your unwavering commitment to achieving excellence,” the chairperson added.

The MSMEs were selected and evaluated by the board and productivity experts during the screening process.

All participating firms were rated and judged based on productivity enhancement initiatives, employee engagement and expansion, business excellence, gender equality and social inclusion initiatives, worker’s development intervention, green program practices, and corporate social accountability.

The Regional Productivity Olympics is a competition of best productivity improvement and practices of MSMEs organized by RTWPB, DOLE, National Economic and Development Authority, Department of Trade and Industry, representatives from both worker and management sectors, and MSMEs.

This year’s awarding ceremony is anchored on the theme, “From Striving to Thriving: Reset and Reposition for Impact”. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
