TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - The Department of Labor and Employment - Region 2 (DOLE-2), through its Nueva Vizcaya Field Office (NVFO), conducted a two-day Family Welfare Program Orientation recently, which was in partnership with Saint Mary’s University (SMU), Nueva Vizcaya Medical Mission Group Hospital Inc.(MMG), and PLTC, Inc. Luis A. Tiam Medical Center.
The activity’s presentation comprised of 10 dimensions, which includes Reproductive Health and Responsible Parenthood; Education/Gender Equality; Spirituality or Values Formation; Income Generation / Livelihood / Cooperative; Medical Health Care; Nutrition; Environment, Protection, Hygiene and Sanitation; Sports and Leisure; Housing; and Transportation. Only three dimensions implemented could make the establishment compliant with FWP.
Basilisa M. Iringan, Senior LEO and Regional focal person of FWP, and Monette Casauay-Aragon, LEO III of DOLE NVFO served as resource speakers during the activity, introducing the concept of family welfare to the establishments.
Representatives from various departments/units of the establishment are invited to join the lecture and shall also be responsible for disseminating the topic to their constituents.
Iringan, meanwhile encouraged the participants to pursue the formal composition of the Family Welfare Committee to be submitted to DOLE Office in compliance with DOLE Department Order No. 56-03 and Department Order No. 3 series of 2009.
