CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the rehabilitation of a local road in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija.
The 1.848-kilometer infrastructure is in barangay Rajal Centro.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said construction began February this year with an allocation of P15.2 million from the 2023 national budget under the agency's Kalsada Tungo sa Patubigan program.
“The rehabilitated two-lane, five-meter wide road has brought about positive change for the local community,” he shared.
Trinidad emphasized that the redevelopment and maintenance of the road played a crucial role in driving economic growth and enhancing connectivity in agricultural communities.
It also showcased DPWH's commitment to investing in critical infrastructure projects that contribute to the improvement of rural areas. (CLJD-PIA 3)
