Tuazon explained that such an act is discouraging especially to barangay officials like him adding more pressure to them as they face existing problems like reaching their constituents knowing that they have quite a large land area and most parts are on upland terrain.
“We appeal to the City Mayor, the Governor, the officials of the province and the Philippine Army to help us attain our ultimate goal to get justice for what happened to our constituents and that all these will end so we can continue to give improvements and projects to the community,” Tuazon said.
Meanwhile, Gonzales shared that as the military is trying to work for the declaration of Negros Occidental as insurgency free, the CTG will keep on sowing terror and atrocities.
“The people of Negros Occidental do not trust the NPA since they have started cooperating with the military and the police. There is no more culture of fear. People started to get the courage and trust in the military and the government. This is a good sign,” Gonzales added. (AAL/EAD/PIA6 Negros Occidental)
