GSIS renovated office to better serve clients

ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- The newly-renovated Government Services Insurance System (GSIS) 6 branch sets to better serve its more than 72,000 active members and pensioners with the inauguration of its facilities held here, June 29.

GSIS President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso led other top GSIS officials during the inauguration.

The facelift of the three-door dormitory and newly-renovated office include lowered service counters for easy access to Persons with Disabilities (PWD), an increase of the covered parking area for client vehicles, replacement of aging gates, and an extension of fence for better security.

The dormitory which was completed almost a year ago, was nly opened recently in time for the inauguration to provide additional accommodation for the GSIS employees. 

"The (GSIS) offices are reflections of how we work as an organization, at ang ating dormitoryo isa ring kasagutan sa mga challenges na kailangan naming masagot, kung paano kami makakatipid (and the dormitory is also an answer to one of the challenges we face on how to save),” Veloso said.

Following the inauguration, a press conference was held with the local media to give updates on the GSIS programs and answer queries on the relevant issues and projects of the state insurance system.

Fostering a deeper understanding of teachers' issues and difficulties and collecting information that GSIS can be used to enhance its service offerings, a stakeholder’s forum with the Department of Education (DepEd) 6 schools division superintendents were also conducted.

“It is not just about us sharing information, rather, we also want to listen to our teachers’ concerns and work to address them through enhancements in our service delivery,” Veloso said during his interaction with the media here.

Veloso added that, ultimately, GSIS wants to provide the best possible customer experience for its clients. 

Present also in the whole day event were GSIS chair Rodolfo G. Del Rosario Jr. as well as its members of the trustees, executives, and other officials of the agency. (AAL/ED/PIA 6)
