CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga(PIA) – Kalinga State University (KSU) is issued Certificate of Accreditation by the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA).
NCCA Executive Director Oscar Casaysay said the certificate was issued after KSU has complied all the criteria for accreditation qualifying it to seek NCCA grants.
KSU President Eduardo T. Bagtang considered the accreditation as NCCA’s confirmation of the university’s commitment and programs on preservation and promotion of the Cordillera culture.
With this KSU, can even advance its efforts to further enrich and expand the cultural landscape of the region, Bagtang said.
NCCA accredited institutions are recognized as leading advocates of the nation’s culture and heritage.
KSU is actively involved in the Cordillera autonomy move and had hosted regional consultation and advocacy events.
Bagtang acknowledged Jessie Grace Sannadan, Marilou Adora, Sheila Mae Carol Buslig, Pinky Larcelle Gas-ib and James Guidangen as among the KSU team who worked for the accreditation. (LL-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
