Barnhurst said the Quirino Mamparang Lions Club is a part of Lions Club International, a network of volunteers who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
'It was approved by the Lions Club International as a new charter club in District 301-C Northern Luzon, Philippines, on March 31, 2014," she added.
Pascua further stressed the club was organized to carry on the Lions motto, “WE SERVE” and put into action the mission statement of Lions Club International, which is to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing volunteer services through community involvement and international cooperation.
As its first humanitarian activity for 2023, the club will conduct diabetes and hypertension screening for 100 Individuals and distribution of eyeglasses on July 1, 2023 at the old ABRASA building, National Highway, Andres Bonifacio, Diffun.
The humanitarian organization will also hold its first meeting to plan for its one-year target activities. (TCB/PIA Quirino)
