TFBM renews vow to stand side-by-side with Marawi

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) has echoed again its promise that it would continue to journey with the city here until the time that it would fully recover and restore its full glory.

“Ang TFBM naman ay nandito pa rin (The TFBM is still here)…Ang (The) Task Force Bangon Marawi will continue to be here. We will continue to help,” said TFBM Field Office Manager Felix Castro Jr..

Castro underlined that there are still some problems lingering on the rehabilitation program implemented here.

He stated that it is due to this scenario that they remain dedicated to resolving the concerns and march to the end of the restoration efforts.

Among the ongoing projects at this moment are the construction of some integrated school buildings, community facilities at Pamayandeg sa Ranao Residences at Dansalan (PRDD) Village in Barangays Kilala and Mipantao Gadongan, permanent shelters, and water system.

Castro further emphasized that although they are into building infrastructures and new homes for residents who could not return to the most affected area (MAA), they still believed that the complete healing from the tragedy would only be attained if everyone can restart their lives from where they come from.

As such, he stressed that they firmly support the Marawi Compensation Board in its mandate so that every entitled claimant could finally receive their respective amount of compensation.

“Palagi naming sinasabi na ang rehabilitation is about the people, that is why we are supporting the MCB para maibayad na ang compensation. Our end goal is to see most of the residents na makabalik na. Ibabangon natin sabay-sabay ang Marawi,” said Castro.

(We are always saying that rehabilitation is about the people, that is why we are supporting the MCB so that the compensation can already be paid. Our end goal is to see most of the residents return. Together, we will restore Marawi.) (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
