Cagayan Art and Creative Writing winners awarded

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - The winners of the 5th Cagayan Art and Creative Writing Awards (CACWA) were recognized in a ceremony held at the Cagayan Museum and Historical Research Center in Tuguegarao City recently.

The CACWA is an annual part of the celebration of Aggao nac Cagayan, the province’s founding anniversary, that is aimed at promoting local talents in the fields of visual arts and literature. 

The awarding was led by Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba, provincial first lady, Mabel Villarica-Mamba, and Cagayan Museum Curator Niño Kevin Baclig.

Winners of both art and literary contests received cash prizes, with the masterpieces of the visual artists being displayed in a public exhibit at the Cagayan Museum which was formally opened during the program.
