600 residents benefit from Isabela PNP Community Outreach program

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 600 residents in Barangay Sindun Bayabo in this city have benefited from the recent Community Outreach Program of the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) in partnership with other stakeholders.

The conduct of the Community Outreach Program on July 4 was part of the kick-off activities of IPPO for the celebration of the 28th Police Community Relations Month and the 50th birthday celebration of Acting Provincial Director Col Julio Go.

Residents availed themselves of the free services during the activity, such as a free medical check-up, free circumcision, blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar checking, administration of the anti-pneumonia vaccine, dental tooth extraction, a free eye check-up, and the distribution of assorted vitamins and medicines.

Aside from the food packs distributed to the residents, schoolchildren also received school supplies under IPPO's Project BUKLAT-MULAT and benefited from a feeding activity.

Select beneficiaries also received a pair of native chickens under the City of Ilagan Police Station and the 1st Isabela Provincial Mobile Force Company's Project CHICKEN. 

Under the City of Ilagan Police Station's Project HEAL, residents were also given vegetable seedlings to start their backyard garden.

A Pangkabuhayan Showcase or livelihood starter kit was also awarded to one beneficiary under the Project Gesture of Oneness of the IPPO Officers Ladies Club, headed by Dr. Robelyn De Vera Go.

A total of 1,500 assorted forest and fruit-bearing tree seedlings were also planted in the barangay’s tree planting site during the activity.

Lectures on Republic Act 9262, otherwise known as 'Anti-Violence Against Women and Children' and the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government were also shared by IPPO personnel with the residents of the said barangay.

The village residents have expressed their deep gratitude to the IPPO and other government and non-government organizations for choosing their barangay as the recipient of various services through the Community Outreach Program. (MDCT/MGE/PIA Isabela)
